Bitter Gourd Lean Meat Soup

- Bitter Gourd 300 grams
- Lean Meat 150 grams
- 1 slice of Ginger
- 1/2 tablespoon of light soya sauce
- Corn Flour
- 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil
- Salt to taste
- 1.5 litres of water
- Wash the bitter gourd, cut into thick pieces
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and marinate the bitter gourd for half an hour
- Cook the marinated bitter gourd in boiling water for 3 minutes to remove the bitter taste
- Rinse the bitter gourd and dry it. Put aside
- Clean the lean meat, cut into thin slices and add the seasoning to marinate for 10 minutes
- Cook the sliced meat into boiling water till half cooked and set aside
- Heat the oil and fry the ginger till fragrant.
- Add water and cook the bitter gourd for another 10-15 minutes before adding the lean meat.
- Once lean meat is cooked., add the salt to taste. Dish is ready to serve.
